Why I'm Waiting

This book sounds so interesting! Can you imagine having everything you know be erased every 12 years? Can you imagine being the one person (or so it seems) who never forgets? I'm glad the description doesn't give too much away but it has left me with so many questions. How does this whole ting work? Who set this up and for what purpose? Why might the main character, Nadia be immune to forgetting? And if she is immune, there must be other others, right?

Like I said, I have so many questions! This book has definitely caught my interest. It doesn't hurt that the cover is beautiful too! I'm thinking about pre-ordering this one.

Why I'm Waiting

I recently read Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff and that was more than enough to convince me that I wanted to read more from both authors. I actually found out about this Book Con this year. When I was getting my ARC of Gemina signed, Jay Kristoff briefly talked about it since he was handing out promotional bookmarks.

I feel like it's becoming common to have assassins in YA novels but I still feel like this will be a unique take on the concept. Also, I don't think there is any romance in this book. As much as I love romance  I feel like the introduction to this character can be really powerful if there isn't a romance to distract the main character from her goal.

Look at that beautiful cover. There are a few different things going on and I feel like there will be some symbolism to the story, or at least I hope there is. If there isn't then it's okay because I still love the cover. Did I mention that revenge stories are one of my favorites? If I didn't, they are! I know what I talked about might not really explain why I'm waiting. Just know I'm very excited for this book/trilogy! I have already pre-ordered this book and I can't wait until it gets here!

Why I'm Waiting

I want to start by saying look at that cover! It's simplistic but so beautiful! I went to Bookcon this past weekend and they were giving out ARCs for this. I was sad that I wasn't able to get one. I haven't read Nicola Yoon's debut novel Everything Everything yet but I have heard nothing but good things about it. I definitely plan on reading that soon but everyone's praise for this authors writing has me extremely excited to check out her next novel. 

I haven't seen too many reviews on this book yet and I think that's because ARCs just started going out but there have been a few. The reviews/quick thoughts that I've already seen have been amazing! Of course that's gotten me even more excited. Hopefully I'll have another opportunity to get an ARC but if not (and honestly even if I do) I will definitely be picking up a copy when it is published. I might even preorder it. If you can't tell, I'm really excited for this! Why is November so far away?

Why I'm Waiting

I've only ever read the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout and honestly that is reason enough for me to check out any of her other work. The Lux series offered endless amounts of entertainment while still touching on some serious topics. For that series alone I going to try to read Jennifer L. Armentrout/J. Lynn book that has been published at least.

With all that being said, the summary sounds really interesting. From the description there seems like the main character might have some type of lingering trauma from some type of abuse. I feel like this is going to be one of those contemporaries that's going to give me all types of feels because of the problems the two main characters need to work through and because of the romance I'm sure will be included in this. I'm really excited for this release!

Why I'm Waiting

If you are friends with me on goodreads (if you aren't you should add me!) know that I recently finished reading all the volumes of Saga that are currently out. I wasn't blown away by the first volume but after that the story just took off. As soon as I finished volume 5 I was upset that I didn't space it out reading  them. Although there is a main focus throughout the series, there are so many sides stories that follow the different characters. Since I've already finished all the others I have to wait another 3 months before this comes out. If you haven't already, I suggest checking this series out!

Why I'm Waiting

I recently marathoned the first two books and this series. Going into it my expectations weren't too high because I had heard so many mixed opinions about them. Since I wanted to form my own opinion I decided to go ahead and read them and I'm really glad I did. 

The end of The Infinite Sea left off on a big cliffhanger. Some questions that were brought up in the first book and most of the second book were answered but by the time the second book was finished, there were more questions that weren't answered or were just beginning to take form. 

I have no ideas how this story might end. Well I have a few ideas but I just want the book in my hands already so I don't have to keep guessing. This last book isn't much longer than the second book so I'm really hoping everything is concluded nicely. I'm going to be posting reviews for the first two books in the series in the next couple weeks. Hopefully discussing them will help shorten the wait time for this. I'm really looking forward to it and I'll probably end up pre-ordering the book so I can get to it as soon as possible.

I haven't heard anyone talking about this book but I've seen it around a lot on goodreads. Like a lot of other books I decide to read I didn't know what this was about but when I finally saw the cover I thought it looked interesting so I added it to my to read list. Today I finally read the description and I knew right away that I wanted to read this. I've been really into all the fairy tale retellings, or at least the one's that I've actually read. I'm not sure if there's a written version of Aladdin, if there is I haven't read it, but I loved the movie. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Jessica Khoury explores a different take on Aladdin!

Why I'm Waiting

I was first drawn to this book because of the cover. It already looks amazing. From what I can see there was so much thought put into it. There is also a lot details that I can't see from the picture alone. I can't wait to see what it looks like once its actually printed out. I'm sure it's going to be stunning. 

For the actual content, this book sounds very intriguing. I'm always fascinated by parallel worlds but this seems like it will be done a little differently. The realms, as they call them, are the afterlife for this world. I'm interested in learning more about the realms and how they came to be however they currently are. I've never heard of this author but I'm looking forward to seeing how this is executed.

Why I'm Waiting

I have been interested in reading more assassin books lately so I was really excited to find out about this book. Most of the time when there's a story about an assassin, the person is usually alone. No family, friends, etc. I like that this story centers around an assassin who once had a family and I'm hoping that we get to see Val with her Family and how that companionship affects her relationships and the way she interacts with others. I'm interested to see how that might be different from someone who never had anyone anyone else. I'm really looking forward to this!

Why I'm Waiting

I just finished A Court of Thorns and Roses and OMG!!! I think this series might be a new favorite of mine. It took me a while to get through because I put it down at some point to get through some smaller books but when I did pick it back up I finished it pretty quickly. I love this world and I can't wait to get back to it! I'm really excited to see how this world grows. I don't know what else to say without giving a full review on A Court of Thorns and Roses, which I plan on posting by the end of the week. I'm just really excited excited for this and I will probably end up pre-ordering it.

Why I'm Waiting

I love a good adventure. I also love supernatural aspects. I love both together even more and that's exactly what I have in These Vicious Masks. The only thing I've read by Jane Austen is Pride & Prejudice, and because this was described as being a mix between Jane Austen and X-Men I was immediately intrigued. I could see Elizabeth being the main character. I don't know how to explain how excited I am for this read. I think I might end up preordering this so I can get to it as soon as possible!

Why I'm Waiting

I can honestly say there has been some good marketing behind this book. I've been interested in this book since I heard the first brief description of it and I just realized I never took the time to see what it was about myself. Putting the description on my blog for this post was my first time actually reading through it and I have to say this sounds really intriguing.

I've never read anything by Alexandra Bracken but I've heard so many good things about her/her writing. I own The Darkest Minds and would like to get to that before I start this series, especially since that series is wrapped up. There have been so many good reviews from people with early copies that have me looking forward to this even more. I might not get to this book as soon as it releases but I'm excited to read it!

Why I'm Waiting

Before I even read the description I was immediately drawn in by the cover. I think it's going to be interesting starting off the book with the main character dying and coming back as one of the four horseman, War. I think it's also interesting that it seems like the four horseman are basically recruited to do something good. I'm a little confused by a part of the description but I'm sure that will all be cleared up once I actually read the story.

I've never read anything by Veronica Rossi so when I pick this up, I will not have prejudged this book.series. I've seen quite a few good reviews of this book already which always gets me even more excited about a new release. Like I say in almost every other Waiting on Wednesday, I can't wait to get this in my hands!

Why I'm Waiting

Do  I seriously need to explain why I'm waiting on this one? This novel sounds so exciting! Not only is it a thriller/mystery, it's also has some hints of science fiction (because of the synesthesia). The fact that Nikki can see auras is already an interesting concept alone. Then you add in the fact that a girl from Nikki's school, who she doesn't talk to, was almost killed and Nikki is the only person they can contact for her and this story seems like it goes into another level.

It seems like Nikki is going to try to figure out who tried to kill Peyton and why all on her own. She is bound to get into some trouble in the process of her investigation. I've been wanting to read a good mystery lately and I think this will be exactly what I'm looking for!

Why I'm Waiting

I have been hearing some good things about this book so I decided to finally check it out. Once I did I realized it was a book that I would be really excited to check out. There are two friends that just want to live their lives. Of course there is more to it than that. 

I haven't really read any books specifically about witches so I'm really intrigued about them being the focus of this novel/series. I also like that there is a different types of witches instead of just the good and bad witches. I seriously hope I get through my December TBR so I can pick this up not long after it comes out.

Why I'm Waiting

After reading the description and looking at the cover I immediately thought of Once Upon a Time and after double checking I realized this series is going to be a retelling. The evil queen vs a version of Snow White. I guess retellings are the current popular genre. I like that the main character, Lorelai, isn't made to seem like she's helpless. She is going to do everything in her power to get what she wants. This sound like such an exciting read and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Why I'm Waiting

Even though by the time this post goes up this book will have already come out I decided to still use it for this week's Waiting on Wednesday. Can I truly be waiting on a book when I haven't read any books in the series? Yes! I have been wanting to read this series for about a year now. When I actually had access to Cinder, I didn't have the time to read it. Now that the series is ending, I want to start it even more. I don't really know too much about the story but I want to leave it that way. I don't want to start the series knowing too much.

Why I'm Waiting

I think I've mentioned this is a previous post but I've never read a Colleen Hoover book. So many people say she's one of their favorite authors. I would really like to experience the excitement behind this author's name. 

Besides being interested in Colleen Hoover's writing, the story itself sounds interesting. I'm one of the many readers that dreams of having my own book(s) published one day, so that fact that one of the main characters is an aspiring novelist intrigued me. Also, I love a good love story! I'm hoping I can pick this up not long after it comes out.

Why I'm Waiting

The Anatomical Shape of A Heart was a book that immediately drew me from the first time I saw it. I think it was a mix of the title and the cover, I'm not really sure, but it made me interested in what the book was about. After reading the summary I was immediately intrigued. Although it sounds like a basic plot that has been visited before, the little details given about the characters makes it something unique.

Since I have been reading a lot of fantasy/paranormal fantasy/urban fantasy books lately I have been wanting to read some contemporary. This book is contemporary but also realistic fiction. Not only does this summary interests me, I have seen some really positive reviews from people who have received ARCs. I'm excited to get my hands on this book!

Why I'm Waiting 

This was one of those books I kept scrolling past on Goodreads because the cover didn't grab my attention. I finally decided to read the description and was intrigued. The main reason I want to read this is the mystery. I'm curious about happened/how the main character got to where she is now. I also want to know what she was talking about when she mentions Jolene. In the description there is also the mention of obsession. I wrote a short story for my class that dealt with that topic. I'm very interested to see how it was done and possibly get more ideas on how to make it more believable when I revisit the story.
